i am in need of some help i am texturing some parts at the moment. i am using the snapshot size of 1024 and taking it into photoshop. when i shrink textures down to the right size to fit nicely on the snapshot the texture im shrinking goes all fuzzy and pixelated. also when i zoom in to do fine details the brush paints all pixelly. how do i fix this. please help.

i dont want to increase the snapshot to much

Looking nice Sharpo, thats a Maya render if im not mistaken?
Im not too sure i understand your prob, but if you are saying when you zoom in (ie closer to the plane that the picture is on) then it will become more blured and lower quality.
I am in the process of building a track(well its half done and now im workin on something elese). The problem I have is my texture file is like 5,000 x 4,000 but is still not high enough quality when you are in first person camera going along the track, and photoshop is sooooo slow.
Ok with you if i post a pic on your thread?

that is pretty much what i was trying to say yeah the texture file size has to be massive to get the quality. yeah man no problem posting a picture go for it.

Here is about where I got to with this, wiil finish it in the next few weeks, hopefully.

thats nice sharpo, you really went for the whole track, are you still going to put some tire barriers on the turns or just leave it at that? keep posting.

25-06-2006, 04:50 AM
sweet as. um i just googled for a road pic then photoshoped it for a while. I found a nice website with big textures tho it is http://www.mayang.com/textures/.
25-06-2006, 05:56 AM
hey looks great so far but that road texture looks a little off, i think the lines are to long
25-06-2006, 06:59 AM
thanks for the texture link sharpo, just noticed though since its arace track, instead of a lines shouldnt it be markings for the starting lineup are on the track? its for a racer bike right? like there must be at least 24 lineup markings? and a start finsh line? and maybe the teams telemetry booth along the walls next to the track? or do only car races have that? its wip so maybe ull add them later right? kepp posting man..
25-06-2006, 07:11 AM

nice one. I wanna see this finished for sure

Very nice idea, and good modelling but I think the white line on the race track are too long! If you add some bump, and short the lines, then it will be a very nice stuf!
Keep it up!
