View Full Version : Maya? 3dsm? Blender? C4D?

hey there me fellow peeps! well....lets just say that for a long time i have been using a trial version of 3dsm....:) and i decided that i want to move on to get a....proper? trial..lol....well....the point is that i have started to look at some other programs and i was wondering what the most common one is being used in the industry and yeha....opinions....
I am downloading Maya PLE....and Blender to check em out....you see im only 16 so i CANT afford any thing facy so yeah....and for whatever reason...is there anyway of getting something i created in Maya PLE to lets just say...3DSM or Maya Full version?

EDIT: THERES NO WAY IM USING BLENDER!!!! THAT UI...AND..*Barf*

3ds Max and Maya are two top industry programs. Almost everybody will agree on that.
Because of this it is safest to pick one of them (Dosn't matter in my opinion) and learn how to use it.
Personally I use max.

I understand your problem. Even age is a major problem here. Even I'm only 14 right now. But that does not stop me.

When money is a factor then you have to go for free programs. I dont think there's any other way. So as you've rejected Blender, I'd recommend GMax. Its like a free version of Max With many features missing. But you could start with it.

And if you ever think of buying a 3d package then I'd say you go with Max. I personaly feel that its the best.
