Nocturnal-Studios is a Video game start up studio that is just getting off the ground, now dont be scared because we're new, I have a disire to get this off the ground and I'm not gonna let it die.
right now to get money flowing I am currently thinking of releaseing afew small games for mobile devices (PDA's, Cell Phones) if you are able to program in J2ME or are able to do pixal art then please let me know if you are interested in afew small projects. If these products sell you WILL get paid for your work and we will be moving onto bigger projects.
if anyone is interested, let me know and drop me a line at Justin@nocturnal-studios.com
thanks

Hope you don't mind if I point out a few things which may turn people away then:
- No industry experience, it's a huge factor.
- Poor Grammar / Spelling (especially game related words such as pixel)
- No Bio on yourself (i.e. previous mod, colab.'s or other project experience)
- No design outline/synopsis on any of the projects.
Think if you fix those items you'll stand much better chances. Cheers & good luck.

well I just made a fool of myself then, I've never worked in the industry but I've seen alot of the industry and have talked to many people from the industry and have learned alot, just thought some people would be interested in helping me get things started, no worries then.

you din't even make mods, maps or any models or something game related
I think its a good thing to start with getting inside a modding community and see how that goe's or start up a modding project yourself first
this will teach a lot on how things work meet people and get contacts
still on your first post making simple 2d games is a lot more save to start with then my idiotic idears (but I try the best)

I've been in the Halflife moding community for almost since release, have made levels and models and done little bits of coding but I have nothing to show for it other then experiance.
I've been modding for pretty much my entire teen life.

my advice would be to gather more professional experience, do some freelance stuff, etc, to make your clients know that you are capable and know how it works.

Well we have decided on our first game creation, a combat racing game. The game will be a sort of arcade style racing game with combat; we have some unique ideas for this game and are excited about getting this game together. If I haven’t been completely ignored yet or considered a fool, I'd appreciate some help on models (car models, level design) if anyone is interested, let me know.

I'm sorry but this sound like one of those threads like :
"I have an ubercool idea for a game and I'm gonna suck it right out of my thumb and I'm gonna make a cazillion dollars with it! Who wants to help?"
I've seen so many of these threads on many different forums before and 99% doesn't even get to a 10% of creating the game..
Ok sure I'm not a game developer either, but I have been working on my skills in programming, drawing, modelling,.. for some years now and I'm finally taking my first babysteps into actual game development (have been making maps etc for some games for years now)
One advice:
If you want to be taken seriously you should state a few more things:
- a short bio of yourself (your name (it's a lot more personal when people actually know what you're called instead of just a nick), your age (I don't think anyone want to help a 12year-old conquering the gameindustry ;), where you live (when you actually DO set up you know where you have to relocate or maybe if you find more of the same country speak in your own language because it doesn't seem English is your native tongue..)
- your expertise (nobody can do EVERYTHING, so what do you do best?)
- positions you are looking for (know who you need to fill up the team)
- concepts of the game you want to make (make people feel like "YEAH I want to be part of that") show them drawings of the cars, stuff you came up with,.. to get them convinced
- a portfolio/site realy helps!!
- and try and check your spelling.. it's alot more professional with less mistakes..
just trying to help ;) peace out
