Whats the deal with a fairly large polygon amount and such a small texture map? Or can you have several color maps (and the same amount of normal/specular etc maps)?

I'd love to participate, it sounds like a fun competition after all but I gotta wait a couple weeks. :)

Edit: Nevermind I found the answer in the other forum, you should update the initial post here on threedy.

Yah i am doing now lol :-P

ty though

The deal with the large poly count is in case some one wants to model like a very large castle with several rooms or something. In previous competitoins I have been fairly harsh on wasting polys and teh same will go in this competition... If the model is 5000 polys and very few have been wasted then thats fine... if there is obvious wastage then the entrant will loost most/alot of their modeling points.

The texture size has been increased and the amount of texture maps allowed edited*
