View Full Version : 2 sided polies....WTF?! (3dsm8)

Hey all,

Ok problem is as you've seen from the title is that I’m getting 2 sided polies...so most would be thinking 'hey no biggy' so I checked my objects properties and checked the Backface Cull and that’s on...so that’s not the problem. Then I check my view port and the 2-sided faces are not on...so that’s not the problem. I even went so far to check my rendering properties and that’s not messed up :wall: . Does anyone else have any ideas...I even went so far as to delete 3dsm8 and do a total reinstall to make sure...and even then its still screwed?!...odd thing is when I created the project it was fine and no problems...only a month since I’ve touched it has this been happening so I don’t have a clue where to go.

Any help is MOST appreciated.

...and did you check to make sure you material wasnt set to 2-sided?

...or maybe you turned on 2 sided shadows (if shadows bother you) in light properties....

LOL I had no idea it could of been the material and sure enough i checked and i found 2-sided on...thanks for the input guys, it was driving me insane.
