Thank you Tom for posting me on the front page!!!
I use XSI, Photoshop and After Effects.
The set and two cars were combine with close to a million polygons, most of it bcoz of the neon signs on the street.
Rendering time is around 4 minutes per layer.
Thank you for all your comment.

They were render with a dual 2GHs from my school's machines.
I render them separately in 9layers for the sets, car and road are render separately too.
It took me about 4 to 5 months for the whole demo.
Its the school final project.

Great! I never tried XSI, but ... I almost like it..:)
I see that u are from Vancouver 2.. And u said something about school project.. So what school is it? (VFS, CDIS..or.....some school..).. Cause I was thinkin bout some 3D or Visual Effects job ...And now I try to compare all 3d-schools ... MAybe, VFS is the best one, but its more expensive ...

well, personally, i dont think what kind of software u use will affect your work, it really depends on the person's skills.

And bout skills - thats really truth. But before that, hmm, u know wat im talkin bout.. U just try to find the software u love and can do anything using it.. But first u should find it......:D
And now Im looking for the optimal software that ill like .. Ive already said bout Maya and its render. .. 3ds max .... its ... u know, its not inspiring me...:D ... AM .. Thats the good one, especially animation ... and XSI - i don't know anything bout it ...
But ill try ...
