Extrude-help

I have problem. Its like these. I have a cylinder,and i would like to extrude it so it would be longer,but whan i do,the cylinder isnt smooth anymore. Ill you show what i mean.Any suggestion how to do that.

go to poly sub object & assign them the same smoothing group that the first half has. (select one of the polys in the first half to find our what group or simply select all the polys & assign one group to them.)

and how about this.
You could just go to the modifier and adjust the length of it that way...You know when you first put it down how you specified everything, just go back to that menu and change it.
You could ALSO! SCALE it...

I think he was just making a exaple here
that when extuding the smoothning groups arent
assigned automatically
he was not trying to make a longer cilinder:p

Or he may have needed more segments for deformation etc.
