Since 3dtotal put a link to my rigging script I got a lot of downloads and questions. One of them was, if there was a forum for quenstions. Here it is. For downloads go to www.microcan.nl (http://www.microcan.nl).
At this moment the rigging takes three steps.
- create a default skeleton (Create bones button)
- fit the skeleton inside your mesh (Edit pivot button, Mirror buttons)
- create the rig (Create rig)
How to use the controls.
After you have created the rig you can test the skeleton.
To prevent picking a bone instead of an control you can freeze of hide the bones.
Moving the arm
- pick the arm control (square shape) and use move to position the arm.
- pick the wrist control (circle shape) and use rotate to rotate the hand
the new gimbal rotate works well
- pick the elbow control (circle shape) and use rotate to change the swivel plane
Moving the head
- pick the neck control and use move or rotate to animate the head
- the face control is not used yet
Moving the foot
- pick the foot control (circle at the heel) to move the leg
- pick the ball control (square shape) to rotate at the ball the foot
- pick the toe control (circle at the toe) to rotate at the toe
Moving the hip
- pick the hip control to move or rotate the hip
- pick the spine control use move to bend and rotate to rotate the spine
If anyone has good idea to improve the script, let me know.
