Hi:

So, I've been practicing with Paint shop Pro 8, and figured to draw up an idea for a 3D model. I wanted to go for a horror look, but somehow it wound up looking like military nose art. So hey- why not! I have a softened image where it looks more sun bleached, but even though it seemed more realistic, alot of details were hidden. This seemed like the best one out of the bunch. Any comments and critiques are welcomed. I've always drawn , but hardly ever used color, so I'm still learning the ropes.

Well, I know I could still use practice, but if somebody could give some advice, I'm sure I'll get better. Sometimes flaws hide from me, and another eye always brings in new aspects. I had the arm foreshortened pretty well in my sketch, but I guess shading changed things around. At least the gun belt came out well, right? I hope; it took forever to draw that thing.

Hey, I like the image. I cant really fault much, some more painting will always help but its fine as it is. All I think is that maybe the arms need a little more work, the shoulder and arm that are held up look a little strange.

Im nitpicking though, The image is cool if a little weird :D Good job!

Nitpicking is no problem, AxeFace; go ahead and pull it apart, smack it around. A fresh perspective helps. Plus, not only do constructive comments help in making the scene, it also helps the critiquer become sharper in finding strong and weak points in his/her own work- it's a WIN WIN!

Even slight details can add to or throw off the scene. I think I see what you mean with the right arm. Maybe slimming up the pectoral muscle, rounding the bicep more, and working the shoulder will help. The left forearm looks thin, so I'll fatten that up. Thanks.

Welp, I fixed the arm. I think the muscle structure worked out better this time.
