Anyone knows to what resolution i should render if i want to make DVD-quality?
Does it matter which codec i use?

Yeah... the numbers move around sometimes. I know that sounds odd, but it's true. You'll see different programs that will have descriptions like "standard NTSC television" and stuff like that, but with slightly different resolutions. One will be 720x480 and one will be 728x480 and stuff like that. Sometimes they will have different pixel widths and other options. It's pretty strange. But if you stick to 720x480 with a 1x1 pixel size, I think you should be okay... but don't quote me no that. :)

So if understand correctly, the maximum DVD-resolution if the same as the maximum video-resolution? either PAL or NTSC depending on which one i want to use?

Are you sure ? Cuz my 50" toshiba tv can do much more than that with the Quadro 4 of my friend...

the max DVD resolution is not your max Video Resolution. The Video is streched and filtered like a texture in a game so you don't see the pixels if you display a video in a higher resolution.
