Hey guys, I'm looking to model a centaur but I'm having a hard time finding orthographic views or anything really useful to help with the horse part. Anyone know any good links?

Thanks for your help,
Big Phil

also animation books have easy ways to break down the shapes of a horse because in animation you have to draw it so much, so those sort of books usually have a nice simple way of drawing lots of different animals.

Well that,s kinda funny, because I'm starting to model a horse tomorrow:)
It's going to be a work horse not sure which, Clydesdale or Percheron, but I think it's going to be the Pecheron
Will make my own horse thread and post the concept drawing I did.
:D

check out a book called "An Atlas of Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Wilhelm Ellenberger and Lewis S. Brown, ISBN: 0486200825... it has a great section on the horse. Anatomy, cross sections, hair, bones skin, motion. It is by far the best visual book on animal anatomy i have come across. here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0486200825/qid=1050680540/sr=2-3/ref=sr_2_3/103-7640046-4325449) is a link to the book at amazon, although i found it at a local book store- hope that helps out

phil,
the book that rephlexcat mentioned, i own. If you would like, I can scan the horse pages for you to use as reference. Also, if you click the link he posted, and click on "excerpt pages" the horse pages come out : ) so you are in luck.
