i finally finished this guy to a certain degree, i dont think ive posted work here so i thought i'd throw this up. i wen't alittle over board with the specular bloom but i got this soft fantasy quality, anyway please drop some crits on me.

Hey! that looks great! I really like the way he looks!

only a small crit, no biggie though: the second pair of arms seems a bit short to actually be useful......but of course having only two arms I might be wrong :D

I'm still pretty new to 3D, but if Specular Bloom is what gives it that hazy effect, it really looks nice with that model, great work!

that was one cool litle fellow, the only thing is that I think itīs quite blurry, hard to see everything... great otherwise!!! :D

Great work, definately has the fantasy feel to it.

I'd love to see him animated and using all four of his hands to do something. (Perhaps in battle with other similar creatures? His clothes do look like armour)

zutrex:the techniqe is called specular bloom, there are some scripts that come with max that arent installed, they are in your 3dsmax5/scripts/pluginscripts, you copy them to 3dsmax5/stdplugs/stdscripts. there are about 20 ie (tvscanlines,specularbloom,mosaic, etc.)time of new year to have a new year
