i think im at the 2000 mark somewhere not including the ear which i have to delete/optimise to heaven and back again
does anyone know of any good low poly tutorials?..
specifically ones dealing with the twisting of limbs like the bicep/shulderjoint?..
for ultra low poly models... this is going to be for morrowind eventually
ehy what happend to the add image button?.. spewing..

looks cool, theres a seem thru the middle tho...btw post a normal flatshade and smooth shaded thet lighting is really had to see....

and the seam is cause i havent finished working on him, he still has way too many poly's, im guessign that tere arent too many tut's on low poly animation.. tecniques so ill have to figure it out for myself
my motivation was in the realm of exactly how low poly i can get without twisting becoming a problem

hmm..you might be adding polys with those eys, cut tha segments.
o...and there seems to eb a joint problem with the neck....

well the head isnt actually attached at the moment, and im keeping the amount of poly's on the face cause i want to heavily animate it, plus im keeping all of the poly's 4 sided
heres an animation i made, using the same figure as the previous model but a cut down version of this model well butcherd version actually..
496 poly's im using this one to see where polygons are needed to stop twist and bend problems

if its for a game....dont keep it 4 sided,...
4 sided geometry is not supported in msot game engines

Keep them four sided, i work for a game company and we only use four sided polygons (quads)
try o add some more detail pon the legs and arms and butt man, the way it is now it looks too boxy...

there is still an issue with the area between the ****** that i must take care of once he's stitched together, also with the face.
which will take a few poly's out, not much to make a difference..
and i agree with the legs exept he's already got heaps of poly's for a naked guy. what happens when i put clothes on him?.. or armor..
ahh well heres a pic of the most recent version.. c&c are very welcome.., i have to start thinking about texturing, or even hair..
mabe chest hair too.. and i should give him some "tool" to work with aswell.. hehe

I think you should make the head smaller cause right now the proportions are kind of wierd.

faxe - thanks for the comments. i think the reason the head looks too large is because of the perspective that its in..
i found that if i shrink the head it looks stoopid also., so im going to leave the head how it is..
