Character: Kalem

Hey Folks

I just finished my third concept. I know i should have been way bether for a third one, but hey, not everyone has as good skills as the people on these forums do :D

His name is Kalem, a 28 year old thief/assasin with some bad attitude. He is a chaotic evil kind of person.

The anatomy’s visibility is enhanced, not the proportions.

Please give some good and harsch comment on him, I am no baby anymore:D:D:D.

uhm, i dont know, i think it really looks just like your two other drawings...

as for crits, the shading is kinda weird... the way you blend the lines on both sides doesnt give a very good or realistic effect...

Hey

Well, because i draw them without hair, they may look the same. maybe i draw them to standard. PLease give comment about that.

About the shading, i am about to commit suicide because i can't get it right. Does anybody have some good tips, and even bether, some good reference pic's for me. That would help me out, because the shading won't improve, sigh..... i am truly hopeless..

you got a mirror? thats a good reference to start with :p . Theres no better model than reallife.

I do like that shading tough, it looks weird, but gives a certain athmosphere.

And the character doesnt look evil at all :/ afaik. he looks more sad and kind to me.

evil characters tend to have evil characterics :D .you could look some stuff in http://www.deviantart.com/ .Its not completely bad thing to learn from others. Find a nice picture and replicate it. Just dont release as it your own. It all gets buried to your conciousnes and comes up as you do your own stuff.

Well, i draw them with no expression, so he looks like he is staring. BTW, assasin's don't have to look strong, they just kill :D

About the shading, does anybody have some good shaded pic's for me, so i can learn form them, because my shading sucks right now.

Heye Max4D, I don't think your shading suck it's just kinda weird but if it's your style, keep it! One thing I don't like is his neck and neck bone on the side pcik...it looks a bit strange.

Thx for the comment Cycone, i will consider it very well. About the shading, well, it's my own style, but it has a long way to go and has to be perfected, that i am sure of. I think it will take me another3 to 4 character's before it will be very good...
