Hi there,

thx for you replie. there`s still much to improve. I`m considering puting this modeel later to z-brush for some extra detail.(veins etc.)

You can also use displacement painting with SILO 2

matti

yeah I could but i don`t know silo. and i`d like to learn z-brush.

Hello friend take a look to this link reference:

http://www.poohbah.ndo.co.uk/musfrobac.jpg

Do you see the muscles fibers try modeling the loops in those directions, let see what happen

matti

well i think the loops are quite in a good way. but if you`d precise which muscles you exactly have in mind it would be much better ;) what i don`t like and what`ll be changed is the abdominal muscles. I think they`re too straight. thx for your replies and give me some more.:)

hey matti....its reaaly coming up nice....no major C&Cs.....one thing IMO is that the place between clavicle (collar bone) and Latisbimus Dorsi (above chest) might needs some tweeking of vertex....as from the chest to the clavicle, its looking a bit
flat now...just below the clavicles, it should go in just a bit to give a more natural feeling between the two sections...and about the nipples, as they can go a bit towards inside, as per andrew loomis drawings on the book Figure Drwaings, the navle, the nipple, and end of the clavicle bone towards the soulder lies at the same straight line....so if u draw 2 different slanted straight line starting from the navel towards the soulders, they should be a perfect 'V'...oterwise, its really great

nice work man. i really like how he looks, very convincing.
the third set of abs look like extruded boxes, kind of a shame, looking at the rest of the detail on this character

i have a request though. im trying to make pants on my latest project, but i can get those creases/wrinkels/folds to look right. would you mind posting a wireframe close-up of those pants?

cheers mate.

oh my god, this model is fantastic. Youve really done a fine job on the detailing. Can't wait to see it textured.

matti
18-11-2006, 06:54 PM
Tank[NL]- thx. yeah you`re right about the abdominals I`ve changed them.
Darkegg- thx man. Your messenger is really good too:)

workin a bit on the back. it still needs some imporves

The hand is a bit off proportion, the length of the radius and humerus should just be about the same. Try to bend you hand and see the proportion, hey, you yourself is a good reference not just pictures.

And to model this high poly model in 3Ds Max, I'm speechless, that must have consumed you so much time. Nice effort though but I would go straight to Zbrush once I got the general shape down. Really nice nonetheless!

matti
19-11-2006, 01:19 AM
thx Ranidize I`ve chnged the size of the hands. But theres still a lot to do with the hands. Well i could do it in zb-brush but it would be too easy i want be good at modeling in max.

I`m not sure about the proportions between legs and the torso. What do you think?

Could pose a close shot of the hand? The forearm and its wire too.

EDIT: Probably different angle from what's shown above.

matti
22-11-2006, 09:23 PM

something still wrong in terms of muscle flow on the arms...like biceps, triceps...and check the proportions also......looking nice otherwise...

matti
22-11-2006, 09:29 PM
yeah hands are all wrong. but what do you mean about the proportions??

dhruvsm
22-11-2006, 11:48 PM
to me the bicep is looking long.....i think it should blend a little earlier than the elbow joints...IMO...

great model but one suggestion,
Always make the model in "palm facing down" pose(same as in titanic :P),
it helps in making the rig and skin.
