Description: We have been in development since Jan. 2005. Since the cancelation of the MMORPG Wish, we have been striving to bring what we feel was the main spirit of Wish to the MMORPG genre. We are a worldwide team of hobbyists working toward a very ambitious goal.

Talent needed:
Concept artists - Character and Environment. Environment is a higher priority at the moment. Must have previous work to show.
Low-poly modelers - Knowledge of modeling and UV mapping a must. Must work on assignments.
High-poly Modelers - Knowledge of normal mapping a plus. Knowledge with ZBrush or other hi-poly tools a plus.
Lead technical artist - Knowledge of fundamentals of all modeling and game asset pipeline techniques. Knowledge of some programming, shaders and scripting a plus.
Texture artists - UV mapping skills a plus. Must be well versed in tool of choice (GIMP, PS, etc)
SketchUp(or other architectural) modelers - Proficiency in creating fantasy/medieval architecture a must.
Lead Animator - Someone with experience working on game or mod animations, or equivalent in cg animation experience.
Animators - Having a demo reel or samples.

Compensation:
Non-monitary – Only the experience and IP rights to your work that allow you to list it on a resume/portfolio for future reference. Agreements will be made that if anything happens to the project, you receive full rights to your work. We would eventually like to do something more than just freeware/hobbyist work, but we have no dellusions as to the difficulty and/or luck involved.

Technology:
Tools: Photoshop CS2, GIMP, Blender, Hexagon, ZBrush, Google SketchUp, L3DT, Terragen, 3D Studio Max, Maya, or whatever legitimate that tool can work within our content pipeline.

Some members own legitimate and expensive software, but we do not expect everyone to be able to afford it. In those cases, the next best thing in the way of open-source tools is encouraged and required.

Proprietary tool: DWARF world editor (see below for download/details)

We also host our own SVN server, our own wiki, our own IRC server, our own test website, and art repository. The wiki will eventually have portions opened to the public as some information/tools are released.

We also host a continually growing list of MMO and/or Game development-related website links that can be found here:
Links Section (http://www.projectwish.com/index.php?act=links)

We also started a tutorials section for artists which is currently under construction. It will contain tutorial links we have compiled and our own tutorials for artist. It will cover all topics for Game Development art:

Most of what there is to know is on our website. We run an open development process and answer any questions asked. Our developers keep blogs and our website is continually updated, both for content and design. We are continually adapting and learning, as noone is a paid professional, although we try to show professional quality work.

Talk to me via PM or email, drop by our IRC, email us or ask us anything. We'd love to hear from you.
