Hey Folks
I just finished my fourth character sketch. I present to you Kimion, a neutral good Night Elf druide. I followed the guidelines of the Blizzard Night-Elf, out of respect one could say. The next one I will make in a couple of months will not look like this.
Kimion is a druide and loves being a druide. He is 378 years old and very strong. He is always serious but loves life and he would never take a life in respect of the Great Mother, Gaia( I know, it’s quite corny :D)
I enhanced the anatomy’s visibility, not the proportions. I still have a very long way to go and I realised that I don’t draw to many muscles, so that is something I am going to change.
The shading, well.. what can I say. It has an even longer way to go, but I just downloaded some great ref pictures from an artist called Andrew Loomis( or something like that :D). So, the next one will look bether than this one, I hope.
I will include 2 pictures in this thread, a practise of Kimion and the actual finished picture. You will notice that the shading in the practise is different than that of the finished one. Well, that’s because I shaded the side pose in the finished works first. Then I realized that that kind of shading is not realistic, so I took another approach in the front picture. Then I applied that style in the side pictures of the practise( am I still making sence??? :D:D:D)
Anyhow, please give much neede comment and be harsch, because I else I wl never get better.
