Help With The Creature Creation DVD

Hi, I Have the 3D total dvd training series 1 and for some reason video 2 cuts off at the end. When I play video 3 it starts of with the creatures head already modified so i kno that there was more 2 the second video. Has this happened to anyone else??

Hello Numba,
Sorry about the delayed response - the weekend unfortunately. Anyway you are right in assuming that the start of video 3 is slightly different to the end of video 2 but there is nothing missing. Simply use the orthographic views to add in the extra subdivisions using techniques that you have been taught so far. The idea behind the training is that you are provided with tools necessary to completeing the exercise without there being to much repetition as the entire modelling process is similar. You should be provided with all the key information that you can then apply to fill in the small gaps so that you learn in a more comprehensive fashion which also serves to keep the movie length within a reasonable time if you understand. Do not worry if your mesh is not exactly the same - the main thing is that you learn a process of modelling which you can appy in a number of different scenarios. Understanding the techniques is the aim of the DVD and not necessarily reproducing an exact copy of the model included.

Thanks Rich, this did help, the only problem i have is i dont kno how to make my product from video 2a look lik the one in video 2b. I tried to follow the pictures but i still get confused n its a little frustrating

I appreciate that you may not be able to get your character to look exactly the same but if you have a few too many subdivisions or a few less it will not really matter. There is no right or wrong solution in the end but if you can make a head that resembles mine and have understood the process then you will have succeded.
