Reporting for duty Sir!
Will try to skectch something during this next days =) Won't be easy, long time i don't do inorganic modeling :\
[Edit] Update 11 feb 07
More experiments on the same idea...

I can't lie, i don't know how to draw, so concept stage is what always let me down on competitions. Doing just very quick stuff to help me develop some ideas. Robots are hard to make cause they end up always looking the same :(
This is just the first try thou, i expect to develop more ideas and better ones on the next days ;)
BTW, someone told me right now that the botton right was done over and over again on the past, so one down already :\

I like the bottom left two, and the polycount dude is just funny :) Good luck mate

Thx Blackwolf ;)
Some new tries, it is getting alot difficult for my drawing skills to handle it, but what i'm having more difficulties with is to actually make a character out of metal. I completly hate the more standard forms of robots, i hate how Gundam looks, if it wasn't for my childhood i'd say i hate how Transformers look... i hate how most robots look  So i'll try add some character to my robot, so will experiment a lot before start modeling.
I won't add flesh bits, cause if there is something i hate more than classic looking robots is robots with flesh... those really kill me :hurt:

random fast crap from today...

and a really quick one, i still have done just a rough skecth but i'm actually starting to like the idea. The story behinds also needs some shapning up, but i'm already developing it. Basically, that black material on tha back is melted iron from the big explosion, the disembodied spirits released gathered there (the red dots) developing a new kind of life form.
The legs are terrible, the face i thought in use the same style as the previous right one, the body needs to be alot more massive, and the "black material" seems a good idea to break the soft metal surfaces that on any other way would be hard to, the red areas where the spirits live will be nice to do some glows (next gen yeah!!! now where is the bloom? )
As i said, just a preliminary skecht from a theoric idea :D a lot to be done on propotions and overall style.

we need a thumbnail from you buddy. Get down on it.

Sure BigT, the problem is the title as i'm still trying to think something good :D
Hope to get it up today even.
Added on the first post the main concept for now, still developing the idea but it might be my final one. Comments and critics are really welcome.
Hey Vitor buddy, Keep a positive mind, Don't be hard on yourself. You have always produced good stuff, just keep the brain flowing. Think about it this way if you were turned into a machine what would you want to be able to do? how would you want to look?
And those black out concepts are really good I like them, I agree the bottom two were really cool!

heya rych long time no see you around mate. The best of this competition is without any doubts to meet everyone again ;) Good to see you entering too, good luck man ;)
Edited the first post with a siglty updated version of the same concept... still need to fix the propotions, increase head size, increase back curvature, perhaps smaller legs...
HA HA Yeah buddy same to you! Bring out the big guns or don't bring out any guns at all!!

nice looking...its got potencial....if you put the details in the right places it will be rocking!

Ok today's one... also edited on the first post.
trying to loose the bits of hightech he still gots and making it more tribal. Because he was born on a planet explosion not on a hightech lab =)
to be honest...i like the previous version better.

Thx for the support bb0x ;) that seems like a quasi unanime suggestion, to move back to the previous concept :D but i think i'll keep this one, as i really want to make it look more tribal and rusted then high tech. Perhaps the skulls and other ornaments seems not match much the rest of the model but i'll try to play with the metal texture later to make it look more rusty and old style, also the metal surfaces will be alot more worker, not that soft mech look :halo:
I like ur current concept too vitor!
lookin to see more updates soon man, ;)
