O-kayy...
Here's the start of a concept... silhouette sketches. Made the first one this morning. Then went to the temple of seven golden camels for a few hours, where (oh the horrors) I realised I know NOTHING of the basics! Atleast now I know why my stuff sucks. I'll go drown myself in alcohol&oil coctails this evening, thanks for viewing. Oh yeah, 2nd one is more accurate in terms of proportions and shapes. The stick (it'll be a weapon with purty detail, just you wait) has to be that long for a reason, I'll show you later. Overall, these sketches have too many undocumented details, I don't expect anyone "getting it" just yet. I'll make a better concept illo next post, I promise.

It's loosely based on a deer species (eld's deer to be exact). Yeah, it's a zoomorphic design, again. So what! sue me.
If you whine about it I'll start drawing furry porn. There, have it!
Zoomorphic is qute good! In any way better than antropomorphic :)

Inpw --> Sposiba. My thoughts likewise, though some would claim otherwise. :)
squirl --> Yay for cents! Four leg drive all the way!
I do hope i'll be able to make this thing graceful and fast. Grr bad guys... They'll never see it comming.
ryvick --> Thanks! I'm about as fast as a slug on caffeine. So... We still have 2 weeks, right?
Big Toe --> Yep, it's ticking, but first thing's first - the concept needs work. Here's one just for you though --> :*poly:

Decided to warm up this morning doing a better concept... Then I got slightly carried away:
[clickitty-click-click cause it's biggish] (http://members.lycos.co.uk/insect666/threedy_dominance_war/concept_003.jpg)
It's rather close to what I'll be doing.
Here's a little description:
Specializing in: Sharp Shooting, Hand to Hand Combat, Stealth, Searching, Tactician.
Main features: an agile and annoying slippery bаstard.
This is what happens when an F117 meets a deer and a flegmatic machine soul during a cataclysm. It's supposed to be undetectable and/or uncatchable, hiding in forest and ambushing enemies. Can't take many hits, but it sure can run both towards and away from enemies.
Opperation: groups (herds?) of about 5 of these would be deployed around an enemy base in dense forest or jungle. Their job would be to to get on the nerves of the base inhabitants by constantly sabotaging stuff from far distance (sniper hooliganism), preventing unprotected transport (air and ground) from arriving or leaving the base, organizing all kinds of mayhem around the place with carefully planned and coordinated missions and getting rid of annoyed soldiers sent after them afterwards. Slowly and systematically making any base defunct.
Alternative uses could be searching or simply haunting forests and jungles.
Next time - weapon concept. Although he could do just as well with a rotten stick found on-site, wasting those extra polies would be a crime.
I lied about the dear species - it's not eld's but an axis deer (aka. Chital, axis axis or cervus axis). Surely one cannot go wrong when picking one with such a cool name as basis for a machine.

That's good stuff. Real good stuff. If they sold it in stores there would be a line 3 weeks before the release date.

I really like your style of art and of course the concept. Everything works well together so far. Like to see what the low poly looks like.
