Latest Update: I'm finished. Here is wining pose.
Strating with quick scetch.
Top (left to right): spy insect-like robot, psycho robot, big fat robot with shield and gun
Bottom: mele robot, air force robot, sniper robot.

Of the six, I like the the "air force robot" most. It has an interesting shape and would look good with lots of detail.
It was realy hard choise between scout-type Shadow (looks like roller-girl) and heavy assault unit. And I'm choose the last. So, I begin to draw detail concept.
Here is head.
I changed my mind. Roller-girls rule!
Add some details. Also start to model, I'll show result later.
Still working on details. Wepon and something else.
Small progress in modelling. I'll try to bust up in weekend.
598 tris now, at the right - just for interest, version with TurboSmooth.
Another small wip. Any C&C ?
Not sure about her current hairstyle. May be later I'll change it or erase ears.
And here quick and rough scetch. I'm play with idea of her "third eye".

Like the bird come out of the head, cool concept.
Well, I'm near finish with modeling. Here are 5500 tris. I think to use rest of triangles for add some details and for breaking symmetry. Additional 1K of tris I'll spent for bird-like droid and may be some weapon.

Think about her top. Here are variants
A - Jacket like on concept
B - Closed swimsuit
C - Bra
D - Bra with scarf... Hehe, hello, Rikku :D
Create bird-like drone. It use 800+ tris, but I don't optimize it yet. I'll add some kind of jet engine on bird's back. May be I'll create some animation how this "bird" came out girl's head....
Still think about top :hmm:
Done with main model and unwraping.
Stupid question: how to show in viewport (MAX8) texture with normal map? :dunno:

Just enable the 'DirectX display of standard materials' option

Not sure what your plans are for this model but being honest (maybe a bit hippocritical) it does not strike me as a machine at present. I think your best move regarding this comp would be to make her look more mechanical. Other than that it's an attractive model and i like the idea about the third eye.
0202742 Thanks. I'm agree with you. My only hope that with additional slots it would looks more machine-like. Also I have some ideas how to change texture colors for this effect.
Anyway this is next texture wip. Tonight is topless issue :)

The texturing seems to be working for you, good going.
I'm done with texturing, here is test render
Still need to work with bird, stand, rigging, and final renders and screens.

are you sure your done. You have soooo much space on the character to show more machanical stuff. Right now, she looks like a female in a boddy suit with a coat on, I think you need to push the robotic side of her some more so people(the judges) don't get confused when they see her. Cuircuts, wires, more of those plug things you got going, all will help sell the fact the she isn't human.

BiG ToE-3DT Nice advice but bit late for me. On concept stage it was more useful. I'll hope that judges saw enougth anime cyborg girls to discern it and humans.

sorry I was too late. I guess that means you uploaded all your work. Can you post your final images here too, so everyone can see it now instead of waiting till the dealine.
BiG ToE-3DT No, I don't upload final images. I still have lot to do but I realy want to finished work in time even if it looks too human.
Please help. I don't understand what is going with alpha map?
in viewpoints it looks ok, but when i render the border is appear. Why it can be?

Well, I understand that my entry not very impressive. However I realy happy and proud that i can do all work in time. On DW III my entry would be much, muuuch better :)
