your gonna reach the budget pretty soon if you go on like this. is this a high poly? if not then try to take out those tris that you dont need. just a tip i usually model bots with curved joints and rest sharp parts. so your headed towards the right path. keep at it.

No this is not the high poly model but I have planed it out pretty well I might have to do a little optimizing on some of the neck parts but I have only planed about 700 tri's per leg.. Thanks for the tip... This is the first time that I have modeled any kind of huminoid shape at all. I also have changed the waist quite a bit now and that droped the tri's 3-400...

Intentional or not, I like the oldschool design going on here! :) Haven't seen many robots like that lately.
About your low-poly problem: you're wasting precious polies on those painfully small neck pistons. If they're important, make them (way) bigger, now it's rather hard to see them at all. Also, why does the neck cylinder have that many polies? It's not an area of great importance, most of the time it's not even seen directly and you don't seem to have any detail there. A pentagon prism (that means 5*2+2*3=16 tris) would be sufficient, imo.
Good luck!

Well I agree with you Insect. The neck pistons are a little to small, I will definitely make them bigger. As far as the poly count I am still learning I have never tried to draw anything with a poly limit. I will most likely remake that whole area.
Thank you much for the input. . .
