Well, first what part of the site isn't working for you. Is it the whole site, or something else.

mim

it was whole of "www.3dtotal.com", it was returning some errors, but the forums (forums.3dtotal.com) was workin yet on that time,
btw all of them working fine right now! I can't find what the problem was! Thought something about ISP caused it :dunno:
again many tnx BiG ToE for your consideration ;), n sorry for giving your time buddy :), it's ok now :)

mim, :)

It´s down for me too. "I" have this problem since yesterday...I live in Portugal by the way. Hope it's not my problem(doubt it).

It's not isolated, I have been having problems getting on to 3DTotal.com as well. I live in America, so I guess we can point the finger at 3DTotal. :p

3DTotal has had some problems with viruses, hacks and server failures but all should be sorted now. We are now on a rack of 5 new servers each one more than twice as powerfull as the old one which handled everything on its own!

Thanks for sticking with us, we have a ton of new content in the pipeline and are going to install some forums mods too, all coming in next few days! :)

Damn your really missing out! We have put up 5 cool new things just today on the frontpage! Oh well, keep crying dude....

Just kidding! i think this is down to a cache DNS problem at your end, the site is now on new servers and for some reason your browser is still trying to get them from its old location, these things usually sort themselves out in a couple of days but you can flush out the cache, I will try and get someone who knows about these things to post here, Tom

My techie buddy has suggested

Try. start > run and type in cmd (hit enter)
In the dos box type in ipconfig /flushdns

Can anyone else shed any light on this type of problem?

Hmmm well I have always used a link in my favorites to get to 3dtotal, but I tried the www, which worked, and I just made a new link to total... which also works fine now.
So if you are using favorites... just replace the old link with the www one and you should be good to go.

that would fix it, if it truly is a DNS error. Also delete all temp internet files, history, and cache.

I haven't been able to access it at all for a few days now, from home or school. The page just never loads.

You just have to find away to refresh your DNS, maybe ask you ISP...it will update in the end, it's just the smaller ISP's do not refresh the DNS so often as the big ones.

Pre warning; the forums are going onto the new rack of servers very soon too, so you may have the same problems with these. I'll look into it more too.

Hi,
I just get an virus alert while browsing threedy pages and thought it’s better you know it! In fact I see a same one in CGS yesterday and now cg is down! I won't say it’s the reason and not even sayin that this alert is correct, but it would be better some one investigate this issue!
Btw I have to say I updated my antivirus afew minutes ago to ensure it’s not a mistake by my system! But it’s possible yet a entercorruption between Mcafee and V-bulletan! Dunno!
Just thought you’ll wonna see it so I attached an screen-capture from alert and since I wasn’t sure where to post it so I posted it here!

its been like a week, when I come to the front page of the forums, I get something like the quicktime plugin did not start correctly, theres no mov file in the page, so I looked over the net for the file movie[1].qtl and it says is a Bloodhound.Exploit.109, I am posting the image, I got it the moment I typed the threedy address.

Bloodhound.Exploit.109 is a heuristic detection for Apple QuickTime RTSP URI Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability. are you sure it's not your computer? I've been in and out of both sites since the server move and have never seen that error.

Try the site from a different computer if you can. If it works, then your computer may have some issuse.

im sure, i get the same message on both pcs at home, ive been searching over the net for that virus, and it says that the servers can be easily infected by that one, did you check if that ip comes from one of your servers?

I also have weird things going on since a few days, on forums.3dtotal.com ..

When I refresh the page after some time of inactivity (it can be one hour, for example), or when I simply enter the site, somtimes I hear a sound, and Internet exporer quits automatically. It can do this 2-3 times / day.

I never had this problem before. It's started to happen a week ago or so, and it always happen when I enter or when I refresh forums.3dtotal.com . It doesn't happen on other forums or site.

AVG told me I got a worm last time I entered the site. The closing IE issue is still there, and I'm thinking about not comming here anymore.
