I have recently been trying to create a simple rocket coming out of a missle silo and I have created particle systems for the rocket to act as the exhaust, but I can't render it and the video post doesn't show up when I do. I am fairly new to using video post so I don't really know what I'm doing. The glow effect I added was called "Lens Effect - Glow". I just need to know how I can get the animation and the video post to render out into and .avi or .mpeg or whatever so I can splice it into a video that I am working on. Thanks

in video post you add elements like layers to be rendered

usually you add an input device icon is like a return arrow pointing toward half a teapot

then you add some sort of filter layer, yellow box with squiggly red line

and finally an out put later, yellow box with red arrow coming from it and out and down

double click on the output and you'll see a menu open where you can click files and tell it what to save out as

hope this is what you're looking for

Thanks kuman, that was what was my problem. I got it rendering out, but when I rendered it fully it didn't show up, so I think I have some reading to do. :) And congratz on the competition, I was gonna enter by then I saw what I was up against :), and in particular I saw yours and knew I could never top that. I had a really good feeling that you'd win all through out the comp., so congratz again.

Thanks
