When using the fRRect light on a fRAdvance material that has had the "Refract" set to white (transparent/glass like) the shadow completely disappears. The only way I can seem to get the shadow back is by using the "absorption" control, and then the shodow gets unrealistically tinted to whatever color I set the absorption to.
Does anyone know how to get realistic, soft edged shadows from a glasslike/clear object in finalRender/Max 8?
Also, can anyone point me to any good finalRender tuts? There seems to be a lack of them out there.
