The idea,
Ok, so this will be easy and fun. Take the phrase “special delivery” and animate what you think it means. This competition will be open, in terms of what you can and cannot do. Example, if you want to animate a man/lady sexing each other up in a grassy field, then a baby falls out the sky, do so. Or, if you want, you can animate an ant walking around then finding a pile of food. But be tasteful. Sounds are up to you, have fun with it. If you don’t have a character to animate, you might be able to find one on the net, or just check the animation links thread (let us know you didn’t model it).

Rules

- The due date is April 15th, a Sunday, 12 midnight (GMT). Voting will be on that following week. Post your final entries in the Final Entry Thread.

- Minimum animation: your animation needs to include a minimum of 5 seconds, with or without music, do more if your bored.

- Recommended screen resolution in 320x240 (you can do 640x480 if you want, but why would you). I will.

- You can post W.I.P.s but you are only allowed one complete entry. That link is also final. You can and should post your wip’s to get help.

- Websites where you post your finals is up to you. (megaupload.com)

- Remember, it's about animation, use your time for animation, not to get the best render possible, unless you can afford it.

- Use of plug-ins not allowed. Must be key framed (hand animated)

- Use QuickTime. It will allow everyone to view your hard work, plus it gives everyone the chance to go through your animation frame by frame to see how you did what you did

- You must post a render of some sort with your final entry post; also include a screen grab with key frames.

- Voting will be as follows -
- Vote on what best displays the motion -

First place (3) points
Second place (2) points
Third place (1) points

well thats just the thing, I happened to have my force field on and your tag rebounded onto ItsaMystery - so technically Itsa' is it and I am still save for now <runs away laughing>.....................................->

well I havent done a lip sync in a long time, so if I find a sound file that has to do with surprises, I'm on it.

If that does work out, I may try that old trick where the guy is walking/running and finds himself standing in mid air.

haha magix trick idea is good but would take a little more time to do a not bad job I find but I would love to try it lol but I'm liking the TAG idea haha you could have lots of fun with both of those

that's a real good start. Can't say too much about it right now, but make sure you show the weight of the box, if there is anything "in" the box.

lovin the camera shake at the end. I kinda can hear a thud as the box falls over, even if that thud is in my head.

Arneoog - Great acting and pretty good animation overall. One suggestion however -- HIPS HIPS HIPS HIPS HIPS! =)

Your hips don't seem to move up/down/rotate, but rather move forward in a straight line. Try acting out the scene yourself, and pay attention to the placement of your hips, and how that affects your feet and weight distribution. Good luck! :)

I've kinda been on vacation the past few days, so I haven't really had time to work on stuff. I'll try and whip something out this week, though, since it is spring break for us. :haha:

I'm not going to suggest anything. Everytime I do and it gets picked, I never have time to work on it. Trying to get a real CG job again, wish me luck, hope to be more involved again at some point.
