I am currently working on a project that involves tracking footage in a 3d program.
I need some advice from someone who know about these more than i do.
I know the program side. Im going to use Voodoo and 3d max.

But I need to know how to set up the shoot. Are there any certain things to look for or problems I should be aware of?

Any advice or links to advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I haven't done a lot of camera tracking, and i've only used 3d max (i haven't used voodoo). But, you should measure with a measuring tape first. add points that are easily seen by the camera (florescent stickers or something like that), and also the more the points the better the tracking...

i have a good tutorial saying how to track and i think it has tips too... I'll look for it and if i find it i'll post it....

heres a site with a tutorial

i dont know how good it is, but you can check it out...

If you had access to the shoot, you could also get your camera tracking data during the shoot rather than matchmoving in post.
