I will post to commence the Voting. Voting will be the same as last month with each voter putting forward their top 3 in order, 3pts for a 1st place, 2 pts for 2nd and 1 for 3rd. This means that will have to choose carefully! Feel free to give a reason for your choice as it will be good feedback for all of you!

victorribeiro: With the new server switch there seems to be some hiccups in posts disappearing and such its likely that this is why your post is gone. It happened to me in the monkey challenge so I would advise reposting unless a mod has said differently.

Hi All,

I see a few of you have had problems with posting on time due to the server switch.

Whichever decision I make now will be fair on some and not fair on others, so if you are in the later group please do not complain, it's just one of those things.

My decision is to extend the posting time for another 24 hours, you have until 10.30am GMT on the 12th June to post your image here, immediately after this you all may begin voting!

1st: Dreezle (Funny idea, nice additional details and overall just good looking render)
2nd: nyphe (although not really snail-like, I like the vibrant colors and happy smile...surely stylized and very eye-catching!)
3rd: Ha-Jassar:Nice mix between realistic - cartoon style, maybe the fork and eyes could be better but I like the overall feeling of the image.

To some of the entries who didn't make it into my top 3;

.KaisoR The expression is very feel-good! Next time though, I'd spend more time on materials and lighting; the eyes, grass and green floor could be improved.
GiDeOn<3d>: although the idea is nice, the photograph background is very distracting...as for the snail itself, the eyes make it look more like an alien, it lacks personality.
DeadRockBoy: I like the texturing, colors and mood, yet the image looks a bit dull. Perhaps it's the pose or its' expression.
legie: original take on the subject! only two crits are the fact that the composition is a bit odd, personally I would've brought her closer to the camera, its a bit small now as it is; plus, on a first glance it doesn't really look like a snail, because of its' shape (more cat-like!).
xico: the surroundings are beautiful, and although the shape of the snail is nice, i'd rather would've seen its' face, or something that resembles a state of emotion, or a story element, to give it personality. Nice render nonetheless.
evolution: Funny picture, good joke. The reason I didn't choose it is because of (the lack of good) materials/textures. The whole scene looks very plastic to me, unfortunately.
cmarcus: a bit simple, but nice 'sandy' color palette. :)
flamingboard: Goodlooking surroundings and lighting, but the snail model and materials could use a bit more work. The model looks a bit stiff and the materials make it look like a small statue. Also the DoF is a bit too much, the line between focus and out-of-focus is too sharp.
