Hi! Some of you guys might remember me from my attempt at painting Borat in Photoshop. Sorry I haven't been as active as I would like to be. I'm trying to motivate myself to continue to improve my drawing.

One I sketched last night. I should get a bigger sketch book.. the one I'm using is just A4.

These I did practicing crosshatching, since all my older sketches were all smudgy.

Used a skeleton in my anatomy book as a reference for this one.

They're some really good sketches. I like the head sketch of Borat; it looks like the highlights and crosshatching are more controlled. The other ones are well, but the crosshatching on those seem to run together and hide details while flattening the figure. It's like I can't make out the edges on clothing unless I search for the edge that runs opposite of the crossthatching.

Other than that, the symmetry, proportions, and features of the sketches are well done.

Thanks for the help Jim, I see what you mean. I'll slow down in future when cross hatching and and try to keep it more controlled.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm glad the proportions appear correct. I'll try and get some full body sketches done so it's easier to pick out my mistakes. :P
