I´d say you modelled to less and textured too much. I mean, the model would look perfect, if you would model all those little details on the surface.

i made one of those once, but never came up with a good cockpit. I also tried modelling it in Rhino3D, which isnt too good with textures, at least i know of. Well ive moved to bigger and better things now, MAX!!!!!!
