Hey everybody im new to the forum and fairly new to the world of 3D, so hello :D this is something ive started working on today and is actually the first thing ive began modelling without using a tutorial lol not quite sure what direction im going with it yet and not quite sure if its pants or not but its been fun so far :) anyways here it is, c&c more than welcome.

Heres a quick update. Ive decided my structure is going to be some form of temple, but im still keeping an open mind so its not necessarily going to be of greek or roman origin or even human origin :)

Ill post up some wireframes tomorrow.

Im using Cinema 4D and Advanced Render. Im not a complete noob because ive done lots of tutorials and i bought a few books to get me clued up on 3D. This is my first independent model and hopefully eventually it will be my first independent complete scene :D

Looks good so far. I only have one crit and that is the arch seems like it doesn't flow with the rest of the pillars. It looks like they need to be rotated just a bit to get a circular pattern for all the pillars and the arch.

Hopefully you understand what I mean. Keep it up, looks great.

Heres another update. And i think i know what you mean SR_6274 :D ill try and do something about it tomorrow and post up a pic. Cheers for the advice mate. Still no wireframes im afraid, because i havnt figured out how to do a wireframe render in C4D yet lol ill post some of them up when i find out how to do it.

yeah i guess there are to many columns. It can easily be fixed though i think. And as for posting them separately I apologize. I thought the files were too large to be posted together.

DJL_001 - Very nice modelling there, and great to see another C4D modeller on the forums. If you ever have any questions of need any help, don't hesitate to ask me, i'm on these forums everyday and I love C4D so so much.

Thanks for the comments :) and thanks a lot classic gamer its nice to know if i ever get stuck with something i can ask someone. I guess thats one of the benefits of joining an online community. Its cool :D. And the lighting setup is just a GI sphere with Ambient Occlusion.

I havnt figured out how im going to texture this model yet so it might take a while lol :) anyway heres a test render with a cinema 4d sky object, GI, AO and some Glow.
