Hi, I'm just currious, how does one make facial expressions in max? I couldn't find any tutorials at all on the net, so if anyone knows a good one would help me a lot :) Also is there some special way to do it, or is it done with normal bone rigging?

We usually use morpher modifier, for more info check this thread and max tutorials, there is a tutorial about facial expressions itself learns how to make them using morpher modifier!!!!

Facial expressions can be created in two ways. You could either rig the head with Bones and animate them or you can create different morph targets that the base head 'morph' to. Alternatively you could use a combination of the two. If you're looking for phoneme expressions take a look at:

Your best bet to learn morphing is to take a look through the tutorials that come with MAX.This will teach the principles of 'morphing' etc.
