Ok, so this is the first thing I've really posted on here, but figured it would be a good idea to get some comments about my film which ive just completed. I have just graduated from the University of Hertfordshire (UK) with a 1st, so am now looking for full time employment within the CG industry in the UK to continue to improve my 3d skills.
It would be really good to know what people think of my animated short, so all comments welcome please. I'm aware the animation is weak in places, but its the skill I feel I need to improve most on. Ive really enjoyed the art directional side of things and making things look prettttttty.
I made it in 3ds max, with mental ray using Combustion Also please feel free to visit my website - www.kate-ellis.co.uk (still in working progress) for all the pre production work and a downloadable version of the film.
Cheers muchly for watching
Kate

fantastic work and congrats but i am a little baffeled in your choices the drunk driver i get but why a fire engiune and not a police car and the pig why a pig ive never seen a pig on a rounabought weird but awsome work all the same
Hehe, very nice.
I was wondering what all the random sounds were when he was driving... until the end that is.
A very well animated short, that was modelled well for the type of look you were going for :)
Also had a look at your site, and its very clean and well structured.
Good luck with the rest of your works.

in reply to everyones comments, the reason for all the random models on the merry go round was becuase I was on holiday in Italy last year and saw one on a merry go round - and it was perfect reference...also...you always seem to see horses/cammels/lions/donkeys on them...so figured why not a pig?? i guess it was to add humour to the whole thing. anyway i didnt want to make the animation too conventional and give the joke away to the audience too early on. hopefully with all the randomness throuhgout it helped to keep everyones attention...and hopefully it worked :)

thats a neat idea, afew problems I see with it but not bad overall, near the end when we see him in the car hanging over the door his arms look like deflated bolloons, there was very little interaction between the "characters" the guy has no reaction to a fire truck or even a pig for that matter suddenly showing up, and I also found the music really annouying, but thats just how circus music is I guess hehe,
congrats on graduating, now you need to consintrate on your 3d skills abit more, but I hope you can find work

I would say its great for a project at Uni, it looks very polished which is hard when you are under presure.
I think the modeling is fine for the style of animation.

hehe I love your style
I agree with Rip_shot. there wasnt much reaction from the drunk guy. I mean hes drunk but that doesent mean he doesnt react, maybe just alittle late
I would have loved to see him puke :-)
I wish you all the best in finding a job. you really have it in you
