I am relatively unskilled with 3d stuff so bear with me if its a really stupid mistake, anyway:
this is my first attempt at a full scene (my kitchen) and I'm having trouble with the shadows on the glasses:

Overview of scene:
see attachment----head street overview2.jpg

Closeup of scene:
see attachment----Glass closeup.jpg

Material/lighting settings (default unless stated otherwise):
Mental ray renderer

Benchtop Material- Reflection lvl 30 (reflect/refract)
Glass material - Glass (physics_phen)

Outer omni's - Raytraced shadows on + global settings
Inner omni's - Shadows off

I know this will sound strange, but can you upload a Zipped version of your .max file? I'd love to go through it to better understand what's what (although your uploads are more descriptive than average).

My guess is that one of your raytraced lights is casting that awkward shadow, but I without having the scene I couldn't pinpoint which one or why.

Okay Hopefully it works lol...
Actually any other potential mistakes that you notice would be appreciated (should I make a 3d works in progress thread?).
Also, it's just a basic lighting setup designed to make stuff look 'good enough to analyze', I am not moving the the photo realistic stage yet...
