I have a question about splines. Are they just lines, or the little magnet button on 3d max. Also, after i made my desired shape, and used "attach" to connect lines, the editable mesh only shows the beginning. Or should i leave the different shapes alone? Or use different attaching tools?
THANKS :)

i don't understand your quetion. Maybe you could make up for your lack of english by attaching some images illustrating the problem?

i think you need a tutorial... the best spline tutorial I have ever found is on the dude who made the joan of arc's website... I cant read french but google sure can! click here to go to site (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmr2k.3dvf.com&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools)

spline:
In computer graphics, a spline is a curve that connects two or more specific points, or that is defined by two or more points. The term can also refer to the mathematical equation that defines such a curve.
In the old days of mechanical drafting, a flexible metal or wooden strip (called a spline, and the term from which the present term derives) was used to construct approximate graphs such as this.
A computer can be used to test various curves, having known formulas, for an optimal "fit" for any finite set of points. In the example shown here, a near-perfect fit exists, and the curve has a relatively simple formula. Not all splines are this straightforward. But in theory, at least one spline curve can be found that approximates a continuous graph for any finite set of points.

Maybe we can make it into a verb? I'm going to spline a female today.
Does that make me sound like a nerd?
maybe:
I'm going to spline a character for my movie.
yeah, that looks better!
