Game Making Software

Does anyone know where i could find a free software package, that i can make games with and model your own scene and objects. please help, i realy would like to make a simple game and see my models in real time.

i would suggest using an existing engine that's well known to start with, perhaps the unreal engine, half-life or quake engine, they have their limitations of course but i'm sure if you take the time to do some research you'll find all the tools you need to get your work out into real time, after all people have been making mods for these games for a while now. good luck
