DUE DATE: October 28th: 11:59pm GMT - SUNDAY

Required In The Final Post (1 post per entry):

- 1 x Winning pose shot. This image can only have "One" pose of your character. No multiple shots or different angles. Just one!

- 1 x Beauty shot of your character. Feel free to put multiple angles of your character or just one big version or your character on this page. Even better, try to composite a nice art piece similar to the ones in the Winners' Gallery. Be careful how you do this though, simple is often better. It’s up to you.

- 1 x wire frame shot of your character. Feel free to put multiple wire frame shots or just one big wire frame shot on this page. It is up to you. Must have polycount included.

- 1 x texture sheet that includes all your used sheets squeezed into "one" sheet.

- Concept Sheet (Only if you have a concept)

The mesh looks pretty awful, I added a turbosmooth to the head and torso just to fill up the polycount. :|

your work has a real distinctive style, and the texture work is superb, fantastic :)

really nice character and the modelling is superb. i'm not so sure about the textures. but it is compensated by the great design.

Kratos is a bad m$#o!!!! I can imagine why you didnt really work on the design....then again...i wonder y you didnt try...I really cant imagine kratos any other way. I really like how you created your textures. Needless to say, awesome job!

The thing to note about this model is the sometimes subtle, but excellent use of normal mapping especially the use of normal and opacity maps on the scarf thing she has makes it look amazing. The face morphs are a nice touch as well.

I like the render sheet better than the winning pose for some reason- but this model is very well constructed and textured like a pro. Not much to say about this besides it's awesome.

Choosing between the two Mario's was tough- but I liked bb0x's incredibly crisp textures, smooth model and very good use of normal mapping- such as in the folds of cloth above the knees.

yeah, lexicons beauty shot had a little too much green light from the sword, and it didnt have enough contrast from the backround color. but his render sheets had a more natural lighting to them, and they looked great!

I would agree with ya both :) what finally got posted as my beauty shot was actually only a test render (you can see it was posted on the wip forums ;p) but time constraints meant that I didnt get round too actually re-rendering a final shot :( that and a little confusion over the deadline lol. I actually probably did have time to re-render but hey ho :D

Gosh, I hope its alright that I vote on these. Its been a very long time since I've been on these forums, but I like putting my two cents worth in when it comes to voting.

Great job Robbiek, not to thrilled about the concept just cause I didn't read the books at all, but you cant deny the modeling and texturing. Just the fact that you took the time to do face morphs is awesome and really shows your commitment to this stuff. I also take into the consideration the high poly too, and those normal maps are great I think that says a lot about your modeling and texturing ability.

Not to bad L3xicon, again being as I didn't really participate in this contest I'm not really sure who your redesign character is. You should have put the name of it in your Beauty Render. Modeling isn't bad, actually its quite good, but was bugs me is the texturing. Its great and all but no specular? I think a good specular could have really made your character shine! Also I don't really like your normal maps very much there pretty much non existent in the renders and I'm not sure what the point is in a normal map and bump map.

Pretty cool spin on Mario, Bbox. I think you did a nice job in the textures and your lighting really makes its stand out, but when I think Mario I think a little less creepy. That concept image that Rhauk posted is an awesome redesign of Mario that isn't creepy. For the modeling its all stays pretty true to Mario, or at least what a realistic Mario might look like, but the arms bug me. You have a fat Mario with very, very tone muscular arms. It doesn't make much sense to me.

Your model turned out really well. The character's design is simple but looks nice. The only nik pik thing that I have to say is there are some polies that I think don't add to the silhouette, such as some of the loops around the thigh and calves.

2nd: L3xicon

Looks pretty cool. It’s the king of the undead army in the LotR right? It would have been great to see some spec and normals on the other parts of the model. I’m not to sure about the transparency at the bottom though, haven’t decided on whether I like it or not. However, since there is a transparency there, I don’t think the extruded border at the bottom of the coat isn’t needed. The mesh could have be a little neater down here as well.

3rd: Big-Toe

Concept: 7
Model: 10
Textures: 3

I chose this as my third choice because I think your mesh is ace. All the polies look evenly distributed and I don’t see any waste. Texture can use a bit more work; normals are hard to see.

I'm not sure what the point is in a normal map and bump map.
It gives a low poly mesh the illusion that it has more polies than it really does.
