Hello again! Please post your Final Images for the 'Oct 2007 - Dinosaur (Herbivore)' Challenge in this thread!
800 or 1024 sized images are fine. Please post all entries before 8th November 2007 10:30 AM GMT.
Only entries posted in this 'Oct 2007 - Dinosaur (Herbivore) - VOTING' thread before this date will be eligible for Voting.
Voting will then start immediately afterwards and will run until 15th November 2007 10:30 AM GMT.
We will post to commence the Voting. Voting will be the same as last month, with each voter putting forward their top 3 entries, in order: 3pts for a 1st place, 2pts for 2nd, and 1pt for 3rd. This means that we will all have to choose very carefully!
Please feel free to give reasons for your selection, as it will be good feedback for everyone!
Thanks again for the great work that you have all put in. We look forward to this month's entries! Good luck, everyone!
Many thanks,
Lynette

Capture the Flag! Is that a customized Quake Arena character? I'd like to see it holding a rail gun :D
Really clean modeling and exquisite texturing! Good work.

Here's my Veganasaurus, he likes ballet and eating fruit. As he's a vega he doesn't even eat Cheese or eggs.

The background's no good I know, but it needed something...and I'm not a great painter, so simple is better for me.
Edit: fixed the image size with black bars...

hi aussieinrome - is that a t-rex? if so, he should be entered into the 'Dinosaur - Carnivore' thread, really (here's the new WIP thread for the Dino - Carnivore challenge: http://www.forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=54708), because this thread is a strictly veggie thread, i'm afraid!;) nice work, though:)

Here's my 2cents:
#1 - Siege - Great modeling, color scheme & posing. Shame that there's no background, but I love it anyway.
#2 - HA-Jassar - Amazing modeling and rendering, but I got a bit confused with the purpose of the scene...
#3 - Norman Anderson - Funny concept, clean and toony render. Good job.
Congratz to all the others. I hope I have the time to complete my carnivore dino.
UGGA!

1) Siege - My god man. This feels like a digital painting... if I didn't know for sure it was a 3D work, I would think you were trying to pull something! Really great! I want you to win just because I want to know how you did it!
2) mape - This submission is a million times better than your Hyena, the one thing I've noticed in both this submission and your Hyena submission is if you push the facial expression your characters, they could really come to life. Some Looney Toons style facial expressions could be a good reference for you. Also, you probably deserve 1st place but I'm just too curious about Siege's =p.
3) nyphe - I really love this one =). The design is fantastic, my only reasoning for not giving you more points is that the other designs seemed to display more effort in the execuition.
4) jape - awesome character. I think you could have done a little more with the character rather than giving him a blank stare and having him stand in the middle of the room, but all in all it's very well done.
5) Norman Anderson - This guy is ****in cute. I love everything about him, except his eyes. I'm not really sure what it is... oh well, good work =)
6) HA-Jassar - your submission seems well execuited but I'm not really sure where you're going with it. Perhaps you should have spent a little more time in pre-production figuring out your design? With a better design, you could have easily been in my top 3.
7) elpato - Pretty hilarious =). It all seems well done, I just don't feel like your finished. I think if you spent some more time tweaking things and working on textures, this could be significantly better in very little time.
I would keep going, but I need to get back to work =p.
Good work and good luck ya'll!

1. Siege: Best overall design. It would be nice to see him in a scene though.
2. Ha_Jassar: I like the way you integrate your models into 2d backgrounds. I know the idea behind your entry, but I have to agree with RageCage that you could have made it clearer in your design.
3. Mape: Best scene and well designed character. I just feel like he lacks that kind of expression that you nailed in your hyena entry.
Honorable mentions:
4. Jape: I had to choose between you and mape, but his scene looked more engaging to me.
5. Norman Anderson: A funny concept indeed. A bit of refining could have easily put your entry in my top 3.
6. Nato_VanDookie: This is probably the best model, and your entry looked very promising at the beginning. But alas, the textures, lighting and the scene don't do such a model any justice.
7. aussieinrome: This is the best entry, if only it was a herbivore :dunno:.
Everyone else: You did a great job this month. I take my hat off to all of you guys. Best of luck to y'all in the future challenges :smug:.
