Does anyone know of a tutorial for how to texture a mountain range? I'm using a noise displacement height map to generate a mountain range just to be used in the background of a scene I'm working on, and I don't know how to go about texturing it. I'd like to be able to have much thicker snow as the mountains get higher, and more of a rocky texture near the bottom of the mountains. Is there a way in Maya to blend between multiple texture's based on the height of the object? Thanks for any help!
