Class: Warlord
Artifact: fragments bonded to right side of body and core of sword
Element: tba
Brief: since warlords can not manipulate magic easily, she focuses and stores her energy in her sword, at maximum power if released, has enough power to destroy a city. [horribly storyline none the less =/]
first sketch on paper and pencil, curse my tiny tablet =/ colouring is next

some major updates i guess >.<
the armor is a bit too simple in my opinion but oh well >.<, armor is meant to protect, not to decorate. Zbrushing it after i get some base uvmaps and textures
bleh i don't know how to change the thread name =(, i finally found a new name for her ^^;; Reila~

byah!, just done uvmapping her >.<
question: whats the best method for rendering normal maps from zbrush, because currently my sculpture goes right under 1million tris, and my computer specs are:
2.8 ghz Intel Pentium 4
768 ram
64mb videocard (256mb one died on me =/)

nice design testsuya :) especially the sword which is awesome. You could try doing the normal maps directly in zbrush using zmapper.

you can either do the normals in zbrush, assuming it was unwrapped when you took it in, or, as you say your sculpt is under a million polys, import it into max and projection map it... you may just have to set a large page file and be patient when importing... i havent dont that high a poly model on a computer with that little ram.

for normal mapping in zbrush pixologic has a series of video tutorials from beginning to end of the process(pretty quick) for max or maya workflow... although i have been having problems with it, dunno if i would want to bake the texture in max or maya with less than a gig of ram, though if you want to there is a good tutorial how to do it on poopinmymouth.com... weird URL but he's got some good tutorials up there.

unfortunately I am deeply sorry that i can not finish this competition =/
apparently i believe i overloaded my videocard and it blew out on me, its going to probally take a few weeks to build a new better computer so wish me luck next year
