Hey guys, figure I can at least take a shot at the war, got a great idea for it. So, heres what i got:

EDIT: March 2st, 2008

Race: Human
Class: Invoker
Power: Earth/Stone
Artifact: Arms

He was a broken man, wandering the deserts endlessly, trapped by the gods that watched over them. Eventually, he came across a tribe of peaceful people, who offered him shelter and food. He noticed, however, that these people were not bothered by the desert, but had found a way to live with it, using magic granted by the gods to manipulate sand, stone, and any other earthly material they could use, and build a sprawling village filled with intricate stonework. They took him in, and a mentor trained him in the ways of using the earth around him for protection, and in some cases, combat. After several years of intense training, he made his vow to the gods in exchange for their power, but something was wrong. The power was only meant for those pure of heart, and he still had troubles in his past, wrong-doings that he had never corrected or atoned for. As a result, the earth around him started to encase him, and he plead for his life to the gods, that he could prove his worth as a protector of the tribe and earn his life back. They agreed to it, but magically infused a mask, that which allows them to follow his moves and measure how he was proving himself. Now he seeks to hunt out the Metallic Beasts, and prove he has banished the sins of his
past, and that he truly does have a pure heart

Lol, changed the story again but sticking with the power choices, heres the new story:

Now he seeks to hunt out the Metallic Beasts, and prove he has banished the sins of his past, and that he truly does have a pure heart

Ok, so Ive made some good progress on the model, and I was curious, is the only way to get a screenshot with the wireframe to use Print Screen? or is there an option in the render settings to render out the wireframe with the model? Im using Maya Unlimited if it helps any. Thanks!

I'd go with the granite (but give it a tint of color).

You can playblast a single frame in Maya. I use Maya, but to me, it's easier to get my screens with SnagIt (http://www.download.com/SnagIt/3000-2192_4-10004813.html?cdlpid=10717260)

Thanks Jido!

And yeah, I figured the granite arms would be the best choice, and apprently im not the only one who thanks so either. When I get home, Ill upload the new concept I modeled from, not sure if I got it up here since im at school and the images arent showing up. Then Ill try out that program, read the web page for it and it looks really useful, not only for DW but for other competitions and general use as well!

Nice work so far. I think you're spending a ton of poly's in the abs when it could very easily be done with a normal map....and if you're trying to do your high poly anyways, it'd probably be easier to do them without bunching all those edges together.

Thanks Puckducker! Ill take a look at that when I get home later tonight after school and work.
