Hmm, since hes very japanese, i suggest that you make the proportions of the length of some parts a bit longer, not necessarily slender, but keep that chunky asian Sabre look going for it. Mainly im thinking that it looks like its a short sword, exaggerating the proportions with a huge blade would make him look a lot more epic! Cause i was thinking that right now his torso makes him look more like a bandit rather than a powerful swordsman, but thats just me. Show us a drawing of the torso concept!

This is just my rambles, im keeping a close eye on this one cause i love samurai themed characters, im a sucker for them.

really like your sculpting style :D really crisp details! I have always been a fan of Japanese style of armour and dress. and you are capturing it well. its going to be interesting to see how you integrate the dragon and human forms of the body together. think thats the tricky bit and done well, will be awesome :D
