Alright. Came up with a few thumbs to rough out some ideas. So far I'm leaning towards a heavy armor character, At first I was thinking more humanoid but after further thought I thought it could be cool to have a more monster like executioner, heavy armor, and a bad-ass battle axe. Guess it time to flush out some concept work. C&C Welcome.

Nice....love the very loose concept. I actually saw 2 or 3 different characters in there at first. Probably won't translate well to 3d as it is now, but I'm sure you're going to be doing more concepts.

Amazing! I think that I was really stricken with awe at the dramaticism of this image! I can't wait to see it come to life.

Totally love the proportions. The ax is also sweet!
Man, this is absolutely sick, 'specially for 1st post. The stylization is phuxing awesome. For me, "Stricken with Awe" is an understatement... more like a Nun in the middle of service saying, "Gott Damn that Shix is Hot as Hell". I may be the only one this amazed by this concept (I try to avoid even edited expletives, but the emphasis was necessary...lol), but I'll be watching this thread with popcorn and a large coke. I hope I'm not the only one; I'd feel silly sitting in a theater alone.

I've been reading some pretty cool stories behind people characters and I guess I should throw in a little bit about the executioner. Well, after I produce some real concept art (not thumbnails) I'll drop in a little story. Thanks for the comments so far guys,I see some good stuff on the forum so far!

Finally got some concept art knocked out. Decided to concept the old executioner with no armor first so I could get the forms and proportions correct without all the bulky armor int the way (and it will be). Back story soon to come. C & C Welcome:dance:

Alright, I took a stab a some back story. I'm not really a writer so a took a "Marvel character bio" type of approach.

That guy could probably win a war even if he left that huge axe of his at home. Can't wait to see it in 3D.

This is by far the most stylized concept I've seen yet. It's wonderful to experience such great art work from great artists like yourself. Can't wait to see more!
