Very cool designs what are you going for in this? more of an undead feel? What are you're properties your thinking?

I really like the armor for the girl and the body structure!!

Thank you, I am still trying to push the design. I have a long way to go though with these designs. Sorry about that. I am leaning more towards the stalker class. She's aligned with the darkness and yeilds the darkness/void element. My character may not even be a female though. That just came to me and then I was stuck on it. I'll be posting back story later to help me refine the design. Now I'm just thumbnailing to get the usual and obvious out of my system. I'll be back shortly with more designs. Internet is hoding up so I finish and post up more!

Ok here are a few more concepts. Tell me what you think. I'll be fleshing them out a bit to retain some of the design ideas in each. Any who... get back at me and let me know what you think and as always C&C are more than welcome.

ok, here are a few more update refinements. The last one only have minor tweaks to him since last update. I'd tried to jump write on in and paint them and on the first one I realized that I have no clue into how I should go about digitally painting these guys so I gave it a rest and decided to work more on developing the detail in each one. My goal is to have a solid final character design at least by monday. Suggestions and C&C's are always welcome.

The female has a great attitude. Digitally painting can be blocked in with large shapes or drawn on one or more layers with a pencil stroke and overlapped with your color work. I think you are on a nice track.

I would have to say I really like the female also, and the wizard kinda sketch above her very cool attitude in that.

I really like the female as well, she has alot of promising details and attitude.

If you want to get started with the painting, try using the same style that you have with the first image of your last post. Ie; pick four shades of a base color, fill in some highlights and shadows using only those four colors, using solid shapes, then after you're done with a section, go back, smudge those lines and use the heck out of those burn and dodge tools.

good luck and can't wait to see how it turns out.

ok, after listening to your requests it was easier for me to see what you all were talking about. So I started adding more details to her and just playing around with ideas. Gotta go to work soon. All Crits and critics are always welcome. Feed back is what I hunger! lol tell me what you think. L8ers.

I agree with the other guys, out of the concepts so far she has the most character. real attitude :D I like the skulls (of her victims?) adorning her armour, they really add to her mean disposition :)

looking forward to seeing more detail, especially on the torso and bracers. maybe a kind of rib cage design for her breastplate?

I'm liking the wizard guy, though I think the shrunken skull head look might not be the best fit,

Perhaps you could take elements from both designs to get something unique.

Ok here's another update of the character design. I'll be posting up the back story shortly. As always... C & C'c are more than welcome.

L3XICON: Thanks alot man! Yeah, trying to do more and more with it while just blocking it in with major details added. Later I should be doing a refined line work of it so I can add that extra detail in and tighten up the design more. I'll try the bone breast plate and see what I get.

Puckducker: Yesh I hear ya on that one. I really liked the idea's I had for him with the clothing style; but, that changed and even I am leaning more towards the girl myself. I never really got to finish him or get more than about 5% into his detail. Though, their right about her attitude. I am coming up with so many because I can see her disposition in the pose. Now I just have to pick and choose appropriately.

Well, back to work before my job calls and say's "your being used for an oncall, we need you here in an hour."

Please excuse my absence. ok, it's been a week since I've been able to work on my war. A lot of people quit and I've been working doubles everyday since wednesday (10am to 12midnight :xx:). I am supper tired and I go back in today in a few hours. Was able to concept these weapons and artifacts. I'll upload my forearm braces and boots in just a bit. Looking for crits and critics on these.

Let me know what you think. I need to get back into it with this character. Talk to you later Que. This is my first digital painting aswell. I have not yet started the burn and dodge process. Hope you like it! :smug:

So far so good, but don't worry TOO heavily on the painting bit...I know how you are ;) Remember, final product (as well as the maps and such) is key here. Just keep it movin'.

Copy That red rover and could this be the very elusive J of Burleyton... aye...? I'll be posting my lo poly work in progress in a bit. I have only put about 6 hours into being that I have never created a low poly model. Being down with the cinematic quality thang I urne for that in the final so lets see how I do and I would greatly appreciate much feed back on it to know how I'm looking on this. I'll be posting all works in progress since I have'nt much time to be online in a while.

Ok, here is a quick update! I changed some things with here outfit and armor which will be uploaded @ a later time. Also, I have my work in progress of my base mesh. I duplicated my model and had both of the selected when I did print screen. In any mater though I'm only half way to 9000 tris and I don't think I will need them at all. But, I still have to model the weapon, effects and get rid of some of the place holders which are included in this models poly count. I would greatly appreciate any and all Critics. I'm doing her face seperately in another file so that is why her head looks like a cube. Not much done to it yet. But that will change once I decide on what I want her face to look like. After that... I can begin my sculpt!!! :lurve: Here they are:

show the front and side, it seems like her boobs are kinda stiff. maybe its the angle i am looking at from. also whats that thing in the back where the cut is at the bottomish.

yep, yep, we need to see some front and side views so we can help you out. Right now, the arms look too long, but that could just be the angle. Also, your 592 tris over the limit and your not done modeling yet. But to be honest, I don't see where all those tris went. I'm guessing you have a shell modifier of some sort to thicken up the cloth areas, but at the same time you didn't delete the back faces. You should delete them, it will cut down on your tri count, and then you can use a 2 sided texture to get the same look as if it was thicker.
