still wait for my mind to catch up to the drawing, i just went with a theme and some inspiration by an artist named Dermot Power, so i dont have much background, I tryed to go as fast as i could with this one, it ended up taking a little more than an hour... what I have come up with though is she has a variaty of melee weapons and a pistol at her side... i think her posture is a bit off, i drew her leaning on her staff which is bowing because of the weight, any comments? also please any comments on the over all painting and style would rock, thanks-drew

Wow, that is simply badass. I think she could do with some hair but the over all style is really great. I think the posture is ok; it gives it a kind of comic book feel. Maybe add a background. Maybe some tribal tattoos on her face and exposed part of her chest would be cool. But all and all I like it a lot.

nice gear rephlexcat !!
She has an over-all quitely confident kick-ass feel to her. I like the intricate patters of the jewelry and tatoo on the side of her head and I agree with you on the baldness thing. It just seems to suit the look of the character.
The only thing -I- would change is the huge sword she has in the first pic. I think the katana/wakizashi, with the details of the first sword (like the patterned tan line and the jagged edge) would be sweet. But thats just me.
Yeah i think a subtle comic book look could turn out great. And i say again Nice gear. Look forward to seeing more

I have to say I really like your style - funky line art, good sense of poise and posture, and then this great expressionistic brushwork over the top :) I think the Oriental angle is great, with the katana and wakizash, and the detailing is cool :D
