Re-touched from the wip rendering, and hopefully made the lighting "not so flat".
Okay, ya ll can laugh at the contrails, but I tried my best :( If anyone knows how to improve this please let me know.

that looks really good, nice modeling and textureing
my only thoughts, i can't help you with the trails, but i dunno if it should be launching all 4 rockets at once...

yeah...this might be a lil weird for modern combat, but the plane spec says the plane carries 15 mini missiles on each side for a total of 30. So that's like only 1/3 of the payload.

Looks cool, but I'd add some big rockets, and it shots 2 of them!
Well, with the trails.
Try to add particlesystems with facing partikels and opacity smoke maps!

Hmm, the smoketrails are all weird... They are too straight, they should be smoother.
And I don't know, but for me the aircraft dimensions seems wrong. Compare the guy in the cockpit with the plane. He seems to be sitting in a jumbojet rather than a fighterclass aircraft.
But still, good work.

hey Rinne, I would appreciate it if you could write a simple tutorial for me. I'm not very familiar w/ the particle system in max, but looks like it does the trick. Is there a way for the particles to follow a path like that shown in the image?? you can email me at
