800 or 1024 sized images are fine for this stage (but high res version are good for 3DCreative magazine!;))

Please post all entries before 8th April 2008 10:30AM GMT.
Only entries posted in the 'Mar 2008 - The Executioner! - VOTING!' thread before this date will be eligible for Voting.

Voting will then start immediately afterwards and will run until 15th April 2008 10:30AM GMT.

We will post to commence the Voting on the 8th. Voting will be the same as last month, with each voter putting forward their top 3 entries, in order: 3pts for a 1st place, 2pts for 2nd, and 1pt for 3rd. This means that we will all have to choose very carefully!

Please feel free to give reasons for your selection, as it will be good feedback for everyone!

Awesome work going on in this competition! I browsed through a few days ago and thought I might give it a go. Hopefully I can make the deadline... I edited this post because I had put up some wips but I saw where thats not allowed now that this is April. Please correct me if Im wrong. Will post in the finals. GS out.

I think it would be pretty stupid of us to think that people won't work on their images from 1st to 8th April, and I don't recall that we've ever "disqualified" entrants before for posting WIPs after the end of the month deadline...

What's the general feeling: do most people in this challenge work on their images after the end of the month GMT deadline before posting in the VOTING thread on or before the 8th? Let me know what you think!

I was hoping other stylised challenge 'WIP-pers' would post some of their feedback for us to mull over. i tell you what: i'll have a chat with the team in the morning (at home now!) and i'll let you know the final decision. hope that's alright!

Hi All,

Okay so here are the clear cut rules for everyone to now work by in the future challenges (Caveman onwards) and hopefully it will clear up some confusion:

Everyone has to post their FINAL image in the WIP thread before the end of the month deadline, as well as their WIPs during the month. You then have to post it (exactly the same final image) again in the VOTING thread. This means there is a very clear deadline: no-one can work after the end of the month and the VOTING thread still exists as before, as this is a nice clean thread with final images only which is used for the judging only.

I hope this suits everyone as it clears up any confusion and means that everyone is participating and we all know where we stand. Any questions just let me know. I'll also post this in the Caveman thread so everyone is aware of how this should work.

Hi GS,

This new "rule" is going to apply from the Caveman onwards, so there's no need to remove your WIPs above and I also won't stop you entering the Executioner challenge as long as you can post your final entry in the VOTING thread by the 8th!

For this challenge, as we have only just defined this new rule, it will be unfair to not allow people who have not already submitted final images in the WIP thread to proceed to the VOTING thread, but this will be a strict rule from the Caveman onwards, just so we all know where we stand. I hope that makes sense!
