Im liking your first sketch of the cleric, but maybe thats just because he's the cleanest...For him (if you decide to go back that way) I would say a mace with spikes or a club of some sort, maybe a short hammer even? As far as a girl character................tougher choice there...maybe start with looking at other Female submissions and try and see what hasnt been done. Something with the Tree/Vegetation powers that is NOT an elf...hmm maybe like a stone golem type of female. You always see them as big bulky stone giants, but i dont think Ive ever seen a female version. Hope this helps, it got my creativity going.

thanks for the info, it got me thinkin i'll post some cleaner lines, I was trying for ideas and often ideas come thru a pose alone. I'll work on a stone female. I liked the cleric as well I need to get my mind off it and go back and see what i like/don't like about it.

I think the guy looks cooler, but he needs a new face. He looks too cheery atm. By the way, are those ammo pouches on his belt!?

whoa! mesh looks awesome! how many tris is that?
17-03-2008, 06:19 PM
its sitting at 7500 tris. This is just a base for zbrush :P the low res cage is far less
17-03-2008, 08:42 PM
this mesh is quite good.. though, I´d double check the meshflow in his back..
but, if I can throw in my opinion, then 7500 tris out of 9000 for only the body (leaving 1500 tris for his clothes, armour and weapon) is a tiny bit much
18-03-2008, 03:55 AM
ye of little faith :P this mesh is the base for zbrush the low res cage for it is 4000 tris leaving 5k for the rest + most of the that will be covered by the armor the like. But this is good to have for fitting the gear on to make sure that it fits properly and if i decide to change the concept a little i have a good base to work off of. your opinions are always welcome. hehe sometimes i need to explain the method to my madness. same sorta madness as this http://www.gameartisans.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2270
I'll look closer at the back mesh you could be correct i did this yesterday in a couple hours so i might have missed it. thanks.
