Hello to all! Here is my entry of the competition among you, I opted for the class Warlord, the warlike, quick, animal, powerful but not impressive one. Here is a first sketch, he still has no weapon but I think that it will be a lance of lava / fire, I reflect about it...or Physical strength
name : Sleefen
race : --
class : Warlord
weapon : Physical strength
Beforehand saddened for my bad Englishman!

hello ! I attacked the beginning of the modelling (low def)
but I changed some details the face (which will evolve to be little still), obviously the work in detail in high def will come later.
I advance little by little, I am again going to make some sketches of the perso, the armor, the weapon which it possesses :)

Hello, here is an update, I almost finished the model low poly, this one to evolve a little with regard to the sketch. I optimize as one goes along the number of polygons but at the moment I am near a little more than 8000 (tris) but I shall optimize even later, for info my screens are " subpatch division " thus you cannot see the model in quadrangle still...
After that I am going to attack the realization of the UVs maps to be able to make (finally) the sculpt and the details! But check I am not there still there. For my part I am not early but working the day it is sometimes difficult to advance this one...
The continuation arrives...

Hello all!
Here is a small update because it had been a long time since I had advanced I thus began the work of sculpture and details and at the same time I make small tries of depiction with an exit of my normal map and occlusion map to see a little how it produces, because obviously that there is a loss of certain details enter the sculpture highrez and the result in depiction.
I am satisfied enough at the moment with regard to my limited knowledge, I learn at the same time as I realize...
Otherwise I included the armor in the skin of the character, me think that it is more striking and less common to the others project finally maybe...
to be continued...

The details doesn't match...Id say give him some nicely textured armor. He needs more muscles.

Hello,
A short advanced, some fast depictions with normal map and a specular map, but the sculpt of details is not finished yet, fronts arms are not as well made as legs finish and details here and there...
Kicksachi: maybe you are right but I continue on my throw, the delays become short, and it was that I advance, thank you for your suggestions all the same.

Thanks miclepickle, details final of the sculpt arrives...My project is a small project but I think that in the end I would be satisfied with the result and it allowed me to learn, to watch the others working and to amuse me what is the most important!

Hello all!
Here is an update with a small depiction of the beginning of my diffuse map, normal map, to specular map and occlusion map.
I gave a blow of accelerator because the countdown is launched with the delays which get closer!! I hope that it will please you, the rest arrives...
For information, its weapon is its physical strength because "Sleefen" is a giant, a human being arrives at him to the hip, I would make a silhouette on the base, what will give its size and an impression of greatness.
(sorry for my bad English)

here my model wireframe, I arrive at 8492 tris, I could still have optimized, I think… that makes me a little more details on certain parts.

ooh, it's like a weird aztec sabretooth cat monkey thing. Very strange :)
I think you could remove some loops from the legs and put some extra ones in the forearms - the forearms are much larger so deserve more polys :)

Yes, it is true but I was not able to a lot of time in front of me the model is definitive, I am finalize it.

Hello all!
I finally ended textures with the diffuse map, normal map and occlusion map, I removed the specular map because it brought nothing more set apart a brilliancy too much marked while the matte is better a lot.
I do not have more than to work the base and to take out the final images to work again them. I do not regrettably make of skinning to change pose because I would have no time and furthermore I am not excellent in this domain he will thus guard this break for everything pictures.

Lookin good man! I'd recommend going into your normal channel and smoothing/erasing a few parts of the normal, so you don't get such an unrelenting barrage of normal noise going on... that would help the entire thing look more cohesive I think... I'm thinking if you reduce the noise on his back, legs, etc... basically most broad areas of skin, try to smooth those out a bit.

Yes, it's true, I am going to try to make it to gain more legibility, but at the moment I am going to finish at first the base because I would like to make a nice thing for this one.

Hello all, here is I finished the base, I made some things of simple, rather than of complicated visually things.
I retouched texture of the occlusion (because it was it which given a too much dented aspect) and it goes better for the back and the legs. Here is my image for "Winning Pose", I do not know if I would have the time to post the image " Beauty shot "...

Interesting design. Good job on completing it for the competition. The colour of your texture looks great, and I think your concepts have some pretty solid foundations.
Looking forward to seeing what you can do next year.
