Hi all, so this is a projet that I have to do for my class. I have to do a low poly character with a base and texture.

Chara max 6000 tris
With the base and is weapon (thing that are separate from de body) 4000 tris.
Total : 10 000

So I will take all comment on thing to improve if im able to do it with my capacity :P. For now have some difficulty with the anatomy (especially the hand!)

The texture will come shortly, but just to think about it....I hate texture, it's the most difficult thing in my class for me.

the hand looks fine actually, but before you even move onto texturing, i suggest fixing your joints

i believe this is one of the best tutorials for it

I have begening to cut my UV and need some C&C. This is the first time I do it for a character so thing must be messy.

Thanx ;P

looks nice so far :)

out of interest though....is the character going to be helmet-less at any point? if not, then it might be an idea to get rid of a lot of the polys on the back of his head (ie....the ones you're not going to see). not so important if it's going to just be rendered out, but if you want to use it as a real-time character and get it into a game engine, it's always a good idea to strip away any polys that you're not going to see.....just makes things a little more efficient, and it'll allow more space for more important textures (the un-seen back of the head looks like it's got more texture space than the face, for example).
another option would be just to reduce the amount of polys there, as opposed to deleting them.....so that you keep the head intact but use your poly budget to add details in more important areas.
